Replay Buttons

I am working on extending Chess for Android with full replay buttons. This will remove the somewhat arbitrary restriction of only an 8 half-move undo. Furthemore, it allows replaying older saved games and experimenting with different continuations.

Here is already a quick preview of the new landscape and portrait layout I am planning to use. Early feedback welcome!

Awesome, this looks really good. I'm looking forward to playing around with this. Your chess app is probably the most used game on my G1. Thanks for all your hard work.

Great!
After a game i like to go back and see where i went wrong. The previous ?5 move undo was limiting for game review. It would also be nice to be able to continue a game from a specific point in the review.

For the interface: maybe two additional buttons - jump ahead or back 5 turns?

I really look forward to this feature. It would be nice to be able to load a number of famous games, as well as tutorials from chess books and go through them on my phone, but I think that would also require being able to load arbitrary files - maybe this is currently possible and I just missed it?

I bet you could come up with some interesting submissions if you asked for volunteers to package some groupings of famous games and tutorials.

Thanks for a great app!

Congretulations for your chess. It is really great. I love to play your game with my son. The only thing that is missing is the time limitation. Would be great if you add this feature in one of your next release.
Thanks and Regards, Christoph
